Réka Miklós, obl. CCR, grew up in Sf.-Gheorghe, Romania. After studying music education at the University of Transylvania in Brasov (graduating in 2002), she studied Catholic Church Music at the University of Music and Performing Arts in Graz. She completed her studies in 2010 with a Master’s degree. Réka Miklós received her doctorate (Dr phil.) from the University of Music and Performing Arts in Graz with the thesis Der Seckauer Liber Ordinarius A-Gu 1566 (completed in 2016). She works as a lecturer for Gregorian chant at the training centre of the Casteller Ring Community (CCR) on the Schwanberg, Rödelsee, Germany, and has been an oblate of the community since 2021. She is the editor of the South Hungarian Hymnological Booklets and a research assistant in a research project on religious issues at the University of Gál Ferenc in Szeged, Hungary She has been teaching Gregorian chant at the University of Music and Performing Arts Graz since October 2022. Réka Miklos researches and publishes in the field of Gregorian chant and hymnology.
