Ajoy George Kunnamkot was born in India. During his master’s degree in Germany, he discovered the beauty of Gregorian chant in the former Weingarten monastery. He learnt more about the Western church music tradition during prayer times with the Benedictine monks and in the Choralschola of Weingarten under the direction of Stephan Debeur. He has been a civil deacon since 2022 and works as an engineer in the aviation industry.
