Uncinus male is led by Johannes Tress for polyphonic vocal works and Inga Behrendt for Gregorian chant.
Uncinus male is dedicated to making the essence of choral singing, prayer, accessible. The chants are interpreted in line with semiological research: the investigation of the early 10th and 11th-century chant notation in neumes holds great importance here, as does an intensive study of the (Latin or German) text, and the close relationship between words and sounds.
The Schola is grateful for the connection with Auxiliary Bishop Emeritus Dr. Johannes Kreidler (Grünmettstetten/Horb) and also with Sister Dorothea Krauß CCR, a nun at the Protestant monastery on the Schwanberg near Iphofen/Würzburg.
